Did you know if you lose your only vehicles' key to an older Honda or Toyota vehicle that you could have to replace your immobilizer unit in the vehicle right alongside the keys? When Toyota and Honda first introduced transponder based systems in their vehicles to prevent auto theft, the immobilizer unit in these vehicles was meant to be replaced along with the keys. The keys are assigned to to the vehicles immobilizer unit from the factory. Unless the units computer is re-flashed (Honda) along with a new set of red and black keys, the vehicle will not allow keys to be programmed because the cars' computer will not accept or register new keys when all keys are lost. Re-flashing the immobilizer along with new keys will solve this problem. However, if you simply purchase a duplicate transponder key to your vehicle, you will never have to go thru this expensive, and time consuming process. Call us today for a new duplicate transponder key!
